Software studio · Founded August 2026

Useful tools for the iPhone you already carry.

JP LAB is a small software studio in South Korea that plans, designs, and builds iPhone apps. Its first product is Gildam, a dashcam app that records your drive and lets you revisit the road behind you.

01 / Products

What we are building.

JP LAB has one product so far. It is not public yet, and its progress is recorded as is in the release log on the product page.

Gildam 길담

Dashcam app for iPhone · iOS

Internal TestFlight · App Store 1.1 being prepared for review

Mount your iPhone and record the drive while the app stays on screen. Mark the moments you want to see again, then find them after the drive on a map with the video. Trim just the part you need and save it to Photos or share it.

  • Drive recording, and marks that never copy the original
  • Map and video picture in picture for drives with location
  • Save and share only the range you need; originals preserved
  • Planned: report drafts with the Claude API, submitted by the driver
Gildam recording screen showing elapsed time, recording time remaining, a lens zoom button, and the mark button. The app UI is in Korean. Gildam Drive History screen with a map card showing a test route and marked moments. The app UI is in Korean.
iOS Simulator captures of the app in development. The app UI is Korean; maps and drives are test data.
02 / How we work

Build small. Say it plainly.

One person takes each product from idea to release, so we keep the scope narrow and only promise what we have checked.

End to end

Planning, design, and code in house

Screen design, SwiftUI implementation, testing, and TestFlight delivery are all done by one person. Decisions are fast, and focus stays on one product at a time.

Ship often

Refine through real builds

Pushing a version tag produces an internal TestFlight build automatically, which keeps the loop between change and on-device checks short.

Honest scope

No promises we have not verified

We state up front what is not supported and what has not been tested. User data stays on the device by default.
